For sale is this beautiful sunburst s8 serial Fender Fender Precision from 1980.
The bass appears to be all original, except for maybe some screws for the chrome covers. The pots date to week 27 of 1979, and the pickups to 1980. There's a matching serial number on the pickguard shield.
Overall condition is good for it's age. There are usermarks and small damages all around, but nothing shocking. The most noticeable being lacquer damage on the bottom of the body. The neck is straight and the truss rod works both ways. The frets are in good condition too.
As you can see the neck has some nice flame figuring to it, which is highly unusual for Fenders from this era.
Its a light instrument for this s8 range of instruments; weighing only 4,1kg (chrome covers not mounted) on my kitchen scales!
Included are the original chrome covers and the original hardcase, which are both in very good condition. Currently La Bella flats are fitted.
