Ibanez SR840
For sale is this rare Ibanez SR840, made in Japan. It's from 2000, the only year these were available.
The body is made of mahogany, the neck a piece mahogany/bubinga. The fretboard is made of a beautiful piece of wenge. The bass is finished in a beautiful transparent red color.
It's an active bass, which is equipped with IBZ SFR-S pickups and a vari-mid 3 band eq.
It's a very versatile instrument. A lot of soundshaping can be done using the preamp and pickup controls.
The bass has usermarks and small damages, but nothing serious. The neck is straight and adjustable, the frets are in good condition. And everything works. The only remark is that the volume pot doesn't get completely silent. Maybe it's dirty or a bit worn out. It's hasn't bothered me.
It's an easy playing instrument due to the thin soundgear neck and low action.
The weight is 3,7kg on my kitchen scales.
I am located in the Netherlands, but happy to ship anywhere. No case or bag is included in the sale.
