Der Bass hat einen Body aus Walnuss mit Amarantholz-Decke, Hals – Walnuss mit Amarantholz-Streifen, Griffbrett – Original Santos-Palisander, Aktiv / Passiv Schalter, Elektronik wie neu, Bartolini-Soapbar-Pickups, MT-Mechaniken.
Der Bass weist keinerlei Abnutzungsmerkmale auf, sieht aus wie neu lackiert, lediglich eine 2mm Mini-Macke am Rand der Kopfplatte (Foto). Inklusive Michael Tobias Gig-Bag.
Sound : extreme Tiefbässe, top-klare H-Saite, schöne Tiefmitten, klare Höhen (siehe auch Email-Korrespondenz mit Michael Tobias von 2014).
Nach Motorradunfall 2006 konnte ich den Bass nie mehr richtig spielen (defekte Unterarme).
Nun, ist es für mich an der Zeit, ihn in gute professionelle Hände zu geben. Der Neupreis betrug 5350,00 €.

With a heavy heart, I am offering my TOBIAS 5-STRING CLASSIC (Serial No. 1210) for sale. Handcrafted by Michael Tobias himself!
The bass features a walnut body with an amaranth top, a walnut neck with amaranth inlays, an original Santos rosewood fingerboard, an active/passive switch, electronics in like-new condition, Bartolini soapbar pickups, and MT tuners.
The bass shows absolutely no signs of wear; it looks like it’s been freshly refinished, with only a tiny 2mm chip on the edge of the headstock (see photo). Includes a Michael Tobias gig bag.
Sound: extreme low-end bass, crystal-clear B string, beautiful lower mids, clear highs (see also email correspondence with Michael Tobias from 2014).
After a motorcycle accident in 2006, I was never able to play the bass properly again (injured forearms).
Now, it’s time for me to pass it on to a good, professional owner. The original price was €5,350.00.
