Hello everyone!
I'm offering this bass, which is an absolute rarity in Europe: a 2004 David King D4.
David's basses are headless, and the main focus is total playing comfort.
Here, the entire body is hand-sculpted to achieve the most natural contact between the bass and the player (a striking example is the sculpted thumbrest along the entire length of the body, which greatly facilitates playing).
In terms of playing balance, whether seated or standing, it's unbeatable, and the craftsmanship is simply impressive! It's easily on par with an Alembic.
David makes all the hardware (of simply incredible quality) and takes pride in pushing the finish to its utmost. Another example demonstrating the luthier's ingenuity and perfectionism is the way the cavity plates are mounted on the back of the body.
Without screws or magnets, these are simply two pieces of wood that fit together...

The action at the 12th fret below the E string is currently 2 mm and 1.5 mm below the G string. It still goes down smoothly, without any fretting, and I've set the neck almost perfectly straight to get a nice growl.
Comes with a custom-made and incredibly durable Maxline case in perfect condition and three new 9V batteries.
The bass also has a built-in Wittmann tuner.
Year of Manufacture: 2004
Country of Manufacture: United States
I can ship the bass wherever you like; I'm used to it.
No trades.
The bass can be tested near Metz on numerous amps.
Thank you!
