Selling my original 1966 Fender Jazz Bass in excellent condition. It is from the short early period in 66 when Fender introduced neck binding while keeping the dots on the board.
Nothing replaced or restored. Finish, parts, electrics – everything is factory original from 1966. The neck pickup cover could be a newer replacement – not sure.
The Body has an “ES” engraved under the pickguard indicating it as a “Entered Special”, which usually meant a selection for exhibitions or a demand for a special finish.
Trussrod, Lollipop Tuners, Bridge, Pickups, Pots … everything works fine, the frets have still long life on them, the truss rod screw is still flush with the neck end. On the pics there is a paper shim applied. I replaced that with a special wooden shim.
Plays and sounds superb !
