I'm selling a Japanese Greco JB450S bass guitar.
Judging by the Greco logo, the bass dates back to 1974 – the "Greco" name appeared a bit later, as did the serial numbers and "Matsumoku" (where it was manufactured) stamped on the neck plate. This makes it an old-school Jazz Bass made in Japan with a '60s-style pickup layout. A classic for rock, funk, pop… basically anything.
The 450s model features a rosewood fretboard with white binding and rectangular inlays. The neck is a three-piece maple neck, and the body is a sandwich of mahogany with a maple top and back. It weighs a decent 4.2 kg (9.8 lbs).
The guitar is in very good condition – and not just for being over 50 years old. The body has some minor scratches and scuffs, but there are no paint chips or dents in the wood. The neck, fingerboard, and hardware look great. The frets are low but level and in good condition, and the truss rod works smoothly. The string action is a very comfortable 1.8mm above the 12th fret.
I'll include a period soft case (faux leather).
Ready to play in Poznań (Poland); safe EU shipping is no problem. This is a private sale only, no trades, warranty, return etc.
