This ultra rare Patchwork masterpiece is looking for a new owner!
Honestly, I’ve been Googling a while and I see only one Ken Taylor 4 in Patchwork on the internet and it’s this one.
These are even cooler than I realised before I owned it. Literally everything is mismatched; screws, saddles, tuning knobs, knobs, strapbuttons… Everything. The most insane detail is that only half of the white humbucker is reliced. The same goes for the bridge. Honestly… Insane attention to details.
It’s a normal Ken Taylor otherwise. It has insanely low action, looks PLEK’d. Fantastic playablity and no fretwear at all. The weight is low, at 4.1kg!
The sound is amazing too. This is by far my favourite model from Sandberg.
Pricewise… It is hard to put a number on it. I messaged with Gregor Fris (Basstheworld) and he looked up what a similar spec bass would now cost. Mind you, only resellers can order these. No private sales. The cost is currently ca. 5300 Euros. And undoubtedly a lengthy leadtime.
The asking price seems fair to me, I’ve come down a lot. Most of these are for sale for insane prices. But I’m open to offers!
Trades are welcome too, but then I want to meet in person.
The original Sandberg gigbag is included but for shipping I’ve got a case laying around.
