Since I'm playing 5 and 6 stringers only nowadays I herewith put this very early (S/N PB 1439 = '78/'79), light, resonant, fat Wal Pro 1 in great shape on sale. Not just for its age it is in fantastic condition. Just some playing wear but nothing serious. The pictures speak for themselves.
The Wal Pro 1 is passive (unlike the Wal Pro 1E) which I really love about the bass. With the small parallel/serial switch just below the pickup one can choose between a transparant, more airy sound (great for slap too) and a fatter sound wit a nice push in the low mids as if you play 2 Precision basses at the same time. The passive tone filter make a huge impact too: all the way down this bass sounds as fat as a Moog and with the tone all the way up it has a lot of presence and funky brightness but never harshness: really amazing. All that and no battery changing ever! Comes with OHSC in good working condition.
Asking £2700/€3000. Offers including trading ones with 5 string Wals (I wish there was a Wal Pro 5 passive bass!), Sadowsky's, Fodera's, Alleva's Coppolo's considered: try me!
