Second opinion

Hello good people

So I’m in a bit off dilemma and I could really use some advice :-)
I have Flea Fender Jazz bass, which I like but it doesn’t get much love atm. I have a proposal for a trade deal from my friend and he has a Sterling by MM Stingray Ray35HH in stealth black. I’m really interested in a 5 string bass so it sounds very good right :-)
However I’m not sure if the swap is fair enough regarding the value etc.
What do you guys think regarding the topic?
I could really need second opinion :-)

Thank you in advance

The two basses have similar new prices I would say. So I would say it's quite balanced. It could be that the Fender is a bit more stable in value. So if you want a 5string and musicman like bass go for it (“Sterling by” is the cheaper product line that is produced in Asia and not in the USA like the original Stingrays)

However, this is a German-speaking forum. In the site rules it is noted “The permitted language of the forum is German, individual posts by users may occasionally be written in English.” So just a hint.

Thanks for heads up and I appreciate your input 👍😊
