Hi

I am the owner of one of Wreck basses made by young Croatian luthier Danijel Kopjar.
These basses are really something special and I needed to share it here.

As I am informed, he usualy puts Dolezal custom made pickups in it, Noll electronics and Schaller hardware (or anything you want - I've put Ken Smith pickups and U-retro electronics).
He also makes "vertical pyramid system" bodies to make basses lighter and with more sustain.
And he makes the most beautiful finishes.

Here is link to his facebook page: LINK

And here are some pics of Wreck Basses:

Nice basses and a great player too.:bier: Very interesting! What´s going on with these "pyramids" in the body of the bass?

cheers

I really don't know...I talked to luthier once and he said it has something with acoustic sound of bass and woods, sustain, and obviously reducing the weight...
For more info please contact him :D

I really dig the way he chamberes the body with that Pyramids. It is a well educated way to get a stable top on a wide chambefred bass like this. Nice and solid.

I would like to check one of this beautys. Is it possible to get your hands on one of this basses - in germany?

Very nice indeed! Good craftmenship. Sexy shapes !
I think the pyramid structure will shift resonance effects of the body to much lower frequencies. So you won't have to fear any kind of hooting at high volumes... But i think the influence of a chambered body is negligible to the sound in this way. There is too much solid wood compared to a real hollowbody or semi acoustic design... but it looks interesting and causes a lot of diskussions in the internet :-)

No - still just locally...but I think he's going to try for Musikmesse next year...
Try to contact Danijel - ask him is there is a way you could try it ;-)
