Sold / verkauft.

Fender Victor Bailey.

One of the most beautiful basses ever made by Fender, en this one has also an extremely beautiful top-wood. [it looks 'better' in real life than in the pictures]
Not much to say [if you're looking at this ad, you probably know the bass and its specs]; the bass is in exceptional good condiction: no dings or dongs, no scratches. Like new.

The bass is located in Heerlen [Netherlands], which is about 15 minutes drive from Aachen, or 1 hour drive from Koln. We could also meet somewhere 'in the middle' if you would prefer that.

Asking price is 1250,- euro. Considering the condition i think this is a fair price.
I might be in for a trade, but only [!] with a black or 'natural' [wood visible throught the laquer] bass, 4 strings, passive ór both active & passive [in this case it must have some sort of tonecontrol over the passive tone]. [this is also the reason why i'm considering selling this bass: i sometimes miss passive tone]

The Victor Bailey Jazz Bass is an "Artist Signature" electric bass guitar made by Fender for former Weather Report bassist Victor Bailey. It was introduced in 2001, followed by fretless and five-string versions in 2006, and discontinued in 2010.

This bass features a solid body made from rosewood, koa and mahogany, a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (pao ferro on the five-string version), Posiflex graphite neck support rods, abalone dot position inlays, rolled fingerboard edges, and detailed nut and fret work.

For electronics, the Victor Bailey Signature model has two Samarium cobalt noiseless Jazz Bass pickups, and a three-band active preamp tweaked at the input stage for pre-shape, boost and EQ settings. Bass EQ is centered at 40 Hz ± 12dB with a 4dB per-octave slope; treble is centered at 8 kHz ± 10dB with a 2dB per-octave slope; mid-control is centered at 500 Hz and +10dB and -15dB with a wide-band slope.

The circuit is governed by an 18V power supply.

Other features include gold-plated hardware, Fender/Schaller Lite-Bass tuning machines and Bailey's caricature graphic on the headstock.
